In 2011 Taylor moved to Providence, RI to attend JWU. Knowing no one, she started friending people at random, until she stumbled across Ryan's profile. She of course thought he was cute and got his number. Ryan was attending CCRI and working as a delivery driver for Supreme Pizza at the time. He would call her on every delivery he made. They finally met in person during Taylor's college orientation weekend in August 2011, where they had their first date at Taco Bell in the Providence Place Mall (#RIP). They remained friends for a few months until Ryan finally asked for them to be official on December 21, 2011.

On March 18th, 2023, (after 11 years, 2 months, and 25 days of dating) as a surprise weekend getaway to Lincoln, NH, Ryan planned a train ride to the top of Mount Washington, on the COG railway. Once at 6,288 feet above sea level, and asking a random couple to take a photo of us, Ryan got down on one knee and the most important question was asked. Taylor ugly cried and shared the news with close family and friends, who were just as excited as they were!
